On Jesus Part 1: Jesus Christ the Redeemer
Sunday Mar 07, 2021
Sunday Mar 07, 2021
Who is Jesus? What does it mean that he is the redeemer? Lord? Son of God? Eternal? How is Jesus the answer to the sin problem? Does Jesus still matter today?
In this episode of The Podechesis Podcast, Brett, Jim, and Allen discuss question 21 of John Wesley’s Revision of the Westminster Shorter Catechism: Who is the redeemer of God’s elect (mankind). They discuss the divinity of Jesus, his humanity, and why it is important that he was more than a great teacher and moral figure from the past. The guys will also talk about some different heresies, church councils, and what the early church really thought of him.
Along the way, Jim will make a wager, Allen will dream of shamrocks, and Brett will be craving a bowl of Lucky Charms by the end of the episode.
