The Consequences of Sin
Monday Feb 28, 2022
Monday Feb 28, 2022
Can any person, in their own strength and power, keep the commands of God? What are the consequences of breaking those commands? Are all sins equal in the sight of God? What are the wages, or earnings, of sin?
In this episode of The Podechesis Podcast, the guys talk about questions 82-84 in John Wesley’s Revision of the Westminster Shorter Catechism. These questions concern the consequences of breaking the commands of God. Brett, Allen, and Jim will discuss whether certain sins are worse than others, why a loving God would have consequences in the first place, and how grace and mercy fit into the picture.
Also, Jim finally tells us his story about meeting Capt. Jean Luc Picard (AKA. Patrick Stewart). It’s the story that just keeps on giving over and over.
